Torveto shows a brilliant greenish yellow color and nuances of greenish
yellow, very transparent. The nose reveals intense, clean, pleasing and
refined aromas that start with hints of banana, pear and peach followed by
aromas of acacia, broom, almond, apple, grapefruit, jasmine and hints of
vanilla. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a crisp attack and
however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, pleasing
roundness. The finish is persistent with flavors of banana, apple and
almond. Torveto ages for 2 months in barrique. |

Ho ricevuto questo vino in regalo. Ho scoperto che è l'ultimo nato in casa Lungarotti, storica cantina Umbra. Il colore è davvero affascinante e anche al naso non si comporta male con i suoi profumi di mela e banana.
Premetto che non ho un buon rapporto con i bianchi di Lungarotti (i rossi mi sembrano decisamente migliori) ma questo bianco non mi è sembrato così male.
Mi piacerebbe comunque capire come mai la scelta del Vermentino e come è arrivato in Umbria!
