Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Corte Vaona shows an intense ruby red
color and nuances of garnet red, little transparency. The nose denotes
intense, clean, pleasing and refined aromas which start with hints of
blackberry, plum and dried violet followed by aromas of black cherry,
blueberry, vanilla, chocolate, tobacco and graphite. The mouth has good
correspondence to the nose, a tannic attack and however balanced by
alcohol, full body, intense flavors, pleasing roundness. The finish is
persistent with flavors of blackberry, plum and black cherry. Amarone della
Valpolicella Classico Corte Vaona ages for 24 months in barrique followed
by 8 months of aging in bottle. |

L'Amarone di Novaia è stata una piacevolissima sorpresa. Degustato giovedì scorso in occasione dell'evento diwinetaste dedicato a questa bella cantina, questo vino è stato fra i migliori della serata.
Non è come il solito amarone, cioè di quelli pesanti e corposi che ti impressionano al primo calice ma poi lasci il resto della bottiglia al tavolo, piuttosto ho trovato questo vino equilibrato e piacevolissimo, un buon corpo ma senza stancare, diretto e sincero, è un piacere sia al naso che in bocca. Piacevoli profumi di mora e prugna seguiti da viola appassita, il naso è molto preciso e di buona fattezza. Il gusto non delude e ci ritrovi la mora e la prugna, i tannini, ben presenti, si fanno sentire senza aggredire eccessivamente la bocca. Un vino di ottima fattura e piacevolissimo che mi ha convinto completamente, tanto che ho approfittato della promozione offerta da Novaia e ho riportato due bottiglie a casa da stappare alla prossima buona occasione. Consigliatissimo!
