Dolcetto d'Alba 2008
Sandrone (Italy)
Dolcetto d'Alba (Piedmont)
This Dolcetto d'Alba shows an intense ruby red color and nuances of purple
red, little transparency. The nose reveals intense, clean, pleasing and
refined aromas which start with hints of cherry, blackberry and plum
followed by aromas of violet, raspberry, blueberry and cyclamen. The mouth
has good correspondence to the nose, a slightly tannic attack and however
balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, pleasing crispness. The
finish is persistent with flavors of cherry, plum and blackberry. This
Dolcetto d'Alba ages in steel tanks. |

Simple wine. Bought this bottle on the internet and I was a little disappointed by it. The wine smells straight and simple, with black fruits and nothing more. Simple but however refreshing. Good finish.

Straight and refreshing red wine with wild berries notes. At first it smells quite simple with no hints of complexity or spicy notes, but it is however charming for its intense fruity aromas. Good mouth with a lovely balance between tannins and acidity. Good finish. Nice wine.
